Content Management Policy (CMAP)

The Content Management Policy (CMAP) defines the framework for creation, approval, publication, maintenance, and removal of content on the official website. This policy is formulated in accordance with the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all website content is accurate, timely, consistent, and presented in a user-friendly manner while maintaining authenticity and accountability.

Content Lifecycle
  • Content creation by authorized content contributors
  • Review and approval by designated officials
  • Timely publication through the content management system
  • Periodic review and update of published content
  • Archival or removal of obsolete content as per the Content Archival Policy
Roles and Responsibilities

Roles such as Content Creator, Content Reviewer, and Content Approver are clearly defined and assigned to authorized officials to ensure accountability at each stage of content management.

  • Content is written in clear, simple, and citizen-friendly language
  • Information is factual, verified, and free from ambiguity
  • Content adheres to accessibility, security, and usability standards
Change Management

Any modification or removal of content is carried out through an authorized process with proper review and approval to ensure consistency and prevent unauthorized changes.

Compliance and Review

This policy is reviewed periodically to ensure continued compliance with GIGW guidelines, legal requirements, and evolving best practices.
